The Southern African Historical Society is an active network for communication among professional historians located throughout the subcontinental region and the organisational home for the accredited South African Historical Journal.
In June of this year, our 23rd Biennial Conference was held at the Howard College Campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, which overlooks the Indian Ocean port city of Durban, above. A new council was elected (updates soon to be posted on this site). We are excited to announce that the next conference, in 2013, will be held at the University of Botswana.
